Radiator fan not working. Could be caused by a faulty fan itself or the relay that tells it to turn on when the car is hot. You should also pressure check your system and make sure your cap is sealing properly.

Your cooling fan could be bad. Yoiu might have blockage in the 'water jacket'.

Let the car idle after it is warm and look to see if the fan turns.

Check the fuse for the fan

Always check these first.

Open the radiator cap when the engine is cool. Run the engine until it hits operating temperature and see if the water moves in the radiator.

Try flushing the coolant for the engine. You can buy a kit to do this as most auto part stores.

Don't forget to turn on the heat when yhou are flushing. That will help flush the heater core too.

First of all I would find a different mechanic. He should have checked it out before he installed the parts and probably charged you a fortune. Also it wouldn't have hurt him to check it out after it didn't work.

did he purge you cooling system you may have air in it?are the heater hoses hooked up right,some are one way, just some ideas on why its not putting out heat for you.

this is mainly due to blocked hoses or blocked heater radiator inside the dashboard also heater valve and thermostat should be checked.
after all that and still no heat? did he bleed the air out of the cooling system? it also could be the water pump. after you warm the car up good then feel both heater hoses to see if both are hot. if not then the air needs to be bled out.

You should be able to follow the top radiator hose to the thermostat housing. After getting the housing off, make sure you clean (free of old gasket) both the housing and the part where the housing sits. Make sure you bleed the system after installing the thermostat (Running the car with cap off for a little while so air bubble run out.)

dont know about this car but most cars thermastat is located near the water pump where the top hose of the radiator enter the engine. and if not there there is only two thermastats on a engine one would be the oil thermastat.

DRAIN ALL COOLANT DOWN TO AREA FIRST

you should pressure test the cooling system, have been seeing issues with headgasket failures, possible radiator or fan issues, have it checked soon!

fan does not turn on. turn on A/C then pop hood and see if fans are moving. if they are, then leave car idle with A/C on and see if it overheats

The electric fan should be coming on is it? It could also be the water pump itself but then you would get warm ....hot and then cool air for heat...warm for a while then it would be cool if it is doing that it is most likely the pump..if it is always hot it is probably the thermostst for the fan or just the fan itself. One way to test it is to wire direct to the fan and see if she spins...Hope this helps

It's located in a housing below and slightly behind the Distributor Cap. I've seen a lot worse ones to get at. It's a little easier if you unfasten the Distributor Cap, and lay it off towards the front of the engine (passenger side). You can leave the spark plug wires attached. Here's some instructions;
