There should be two. One in each head, near the top, and clearly visible from the rear of the motor with the cover off.
Just unscrew the covers, and out they come. No big deal.

take out the old one and put in the new one the thermostats should ccome with gaskets if they use them and a socket wrench and maybe a box wrench is all you should need 9/16 size i think
