Changing home thermostat ?

I have a A/C and heather unit:

My old thermostat has this:

O/B = orange wire

RC = red wire

C = blue wire

G = green wire

Y = yellow wire

W = white wire

also their is a black and tan wire that is not been used. Also it does not used batteries.

The new one has a spot for

G

RC

RC1

RH

Y/O

W/B

Y1

I don't know were to place the wires!

Ok, I did some searching for manuals on your thermostat colors and here's what I came up with.

G- Use Green. Blower energizer

RC- Run a short jumper wire to RH in Red. T-stat cooling system power

RC1-Attach the Red wire (T-stat power).

RH-jumpered from RC. T-stat heating system power

Y/O- Orange

W/B - White

Y1 - Yellow. Cooling

Cut the exposed metal off the Common or Blue wire and place a small blue wire cap on it.

Disclaimer: I'm not looking at your system, and you didn't state what your T-stat models were, so I could be wrong. Just try to find the diagram on your unit. If you can't find it, it's OK, because I know which terminal your power is going to, so you won't fry it.
